Princess Wand Machine Applique Embroidery Design

Make this pretty wand for your petite princess.

The wand has been digitized to be done on felt. Hoop the tearaway and stitch the first color. Lay the felt on top and tack it down with the second color. The 3rd color is a placement stitch for optional applique fabric for the middle star. 4th color tacks it down and stitches the inside of the heart. Trim around the applique fabric of the inside star. 5th color covers that and outlines the heart. 6th color outlines circles for jewel placement. Trim around outside of star. 7th color begins satin cover stitch over opening. Slide backing felt under hoop and run 8th color to tack it down. Remove hoop and trim around outside of star on back of hoop. Replace hoop and run satin cover stitch then tear out of hoop. An opening on the back will not be covered with a satin stitch, and that is the spot for you to stick a handle in. You can make the handle placement permanent by adding some glue to the tip of your wand. For the handle, you can use a pencil, Giant Pixie Stix, a painted wooden dowell, etc...get creative!

Before you add the handle, you may want to embellish the star wand end to make it even more special. We used sparkling jewels to create our dazzling sample, but you could decorate it as you wish.
