Tazetta.com is proud to support several different product types all with tight integration. Adding or editing a product is extremely simple and requires only a few minutes.
To add or edit products, you must be a designer. Please log in to your designer account. From your designer account, you will be able to manage your "shop". You can navigate to https://www.tazetta.com/node/add and click to add either a boutique product or digital product from the list as described below. Or, you can view your account page and then click on one of the top navigation buttons. In this scenario of adding product, you will need to click on the SELLING button. Here, you can view the products you already have listed, fulfill orders, and see your sales report. You will want to click on the ADD A NEW PRODUCT link near the top of the page. You will be brought to the Create Content page and from there you can follow the steps below to add your digital or boutique product (or blog):
Step 1) Choosing Product Type
- Boutique Product: A boutique product is a unique, hand-crafted, and physical item. Examples include clothing and accessories. Boutique products are shipped to buyers and may contain several customization options, such as size measurements, fabric selection, etc., that buyers can choose from when they add the boutique product to their carts.
- Digital Product: A digital product is a file that is sent to the buyer upon purchase. Examples include patterns, eBooks, etc. Digital products are not shipped and support visual PDF previewing.
For more information on acceptable products, please view tazetta.com/help/product-guidelines.
Step 2) Entering Information
Tazetta.com provides a powerful, yet simple, one-page product entry form. Complete each field to the best of your ability. For additional information, please see the help text inline on the product entry page below each field. When complete, make sure you click "submit." Your product will then be submitted for moderation, during which a Tazetta.com administrator will approve and enhance your product page.
- Name: Enter an appropriate title or name for your product. There is no need to include category information in the title/name. Also, your name/title should not be overly long or wordy.
- Description: Enter a description for your product. Remember to be mindful of the space allotted for the description. Try to be as concise as possible. The main points you want to make about your product should be listed here.
- Details: Enter product details. The contents of this field are viewable on product pages by mousing over the details tab. As such, the contents are not visible on page load. Therefore, enter details that are only necessary to buyers interested in further information on the product after reading the product description. This can include specifications (such as page numbers, stitch count, etc.), care instructions, or sizing instructions.
- Categories: Select up to two categories for your product (choosing just one that is the best, is recommended). After a category is navigated to using the series of drop-down menus, press "add." The category you selected should appear in the box below the drop-down menus. Tags can also be added to enhance the categorization of your product. Limit tags to approximately five (fewer recommended). Tags should be separated by commas.
- Images: Add up to seven images, beginning with the one that best showcases your item. At least two images are recommended and they should be the two that show off your item the best. For each image you wish to add, click the browse button to locate the image file. Once the file location is indicated, click upload. A small preview of your selected image, along with the file name will appear. Next you can fill in the boxes in the image section. The first one is for alternate text, which is to be displayed if the image cannot be displayed. The second box is for text to be displayed on mouse overs, for example, this dress has a zipper back closure could be in the text (mouse over) with an image showing the back of a dress. Continue adding the rest of the images in the same fashion. Images should be of excellent quality!
- Product Information:
Give your item a SKU (product or model) number, for identification purposes. This has to be a unique code. It can be a combination of letters and numbers. Then indicate the sell price, which is the price the customer will pay for the item. This should be your retail price and should be consistent with your selling price elsewhere, if applicable. Under this, the box should be checked if the item listed will be physically shipped. For boutique items this box will be checked and for digital items it will not be checked. Next you'll want to note the Customize Size Attribute Input on boutique items (not on digital products). These options are available if this product is made to a customers personal measurements - CUSTOM. This product requires customers to input custom measurements. The box should be checked if this product is made to order based on a customers personal measurements. When checked, please also specify the required measurements below. Check the fields that customers should specify for this product, such as waist measurement, etc. The customers will be able to see a chart that helps them take the measurements you specify. Below that, for boutique items only, please indicate a small window approximating the time between customer purchase and shipment of this product. This does not need to include the actual delivery time by a shipping carrier. This turn-around time will be displayed and designers should stick to this, as closely, as possible. - Download:
This field is for digital products only. Here is where you'll upload one file in the supported format (PDF for eBooks and ZIP for embroidery) to be provided to customer upon purchase of this item. Next indicate the skill /difficulty level of the project...Options: Beginner (basic knowledge of skill type required), Intermediate (some experience with the type of project required), Advanced (extensive experience with the skill technicalities required). - Color/Fabric Images:
Fabric/Color swatches/images can be uploaded here. They will be displayed as a list next to the color/fabric selection attribute, so customers can get a better idea of what they are purchasing and the different options available. Follow the same steps (above), as for adding product images. Be sure to add something in the title box. This is the text to be displayed on mouse overs for these specific options. Limit these extra images to about four. - Customize Size Attribute Input:
This attribute pertains to boutique clothing only. Check the box if your custom clothing item requires specific measurements to be provided by the customer. If you check this box, you then need to select the measurements that are needed. - Size Dimensions:
If this item is a picture/piece of art to be hung on a wall, select the closest approximation of the size and aspect ratio to be represented on the product page. - Flags:
To add the product to your bookmarks, check the box.
Next, check the box if your item is exclusive to Tazetta.com, and a special exclusive mark will appear near the name of the product. If the item is not an exclusive item, don't check this box. - Log Message:
Here is where you will enter any messages to us...questions, requests, comments, concerns.
One important thing you might need to write here, is a note to us to add new attribute(s)* options, so you can complete a listing. This message will only be viewed by us when approving your item.
Step 3) Submit
When the product entry page is complete, you can hit the SUBMIT button. Once approved, you will be able to view your product.
Step 4) Editing and Adding Attributes
When logged into your account again, and viewing your product, there is also an edit tab.
- Editing:
If you ever need to make any changes to your item you can easily do that. Simply hit the edit tab, make any necessary changes, and hit submit again. - Attributes:
You will need to assign any necessary product attributes to your products (*attributes are specific options available, such as size, color, etc.).
Attributes are taken care of after your product has already been submitted.
You will need to go the the product page and click on edit.
You will then see the attributes button to click on.
Then click on "add attributes form".
Next you will see a list of available attributes.
If your attribute is listed, highlight it and click the add attributes button. If an attribute you are looking for is not there, please add a note to me in the "log message" section of your product entry page. I will add your requested attribute and then you can continue with finalizing your product listing.
Next click on options and it will bring up a list of options for your attribute. For instance, if you have selected the size attribute, it will give you options such as 2T, etc.
Select the options from the list that you want available to customers.
You will need to select a default option. Usually the most common option is selected as the default option. This is the option that will show up first on the drop down list.
Here you can also order your options. For instance, you would probably want your sizes listed in order, so you would select the appropriate order number.
There is also a price section here, where you can add a dollar amount to the "base price". This is a handy feature, for instance, if you offer a wide range of sizes, but want to price the bigger sizes higher. You simply add the extra dollar amount you want in the price box.
When you've completed the options page, you can click submit.
Moving down the top gray bar you will see that product, attributes, and options have been addressed. You may also want to use the adjustments button (optional), which will allow you to add an extension to your SKU numbers. For instance, if your SKU is LSUN, for Lisa's Sundress, and the sundress is available in several colors, you can add color extensions to the SKU. For example LSUN-B (B would stand for blue). Click submit when you are finished with this step.
Now you can click the view button to check out what your product page will look like. You should be set now. If you do want to make any changes, you can always to the the edit tab, make changes, and click submit again.
