Very soon, Tazetta will be adding embroidery designs to coordinate with our exclusive fabrics, such as our Doodle fabrics. Please check back often so you can stitch out these original designs that go perfectly with the fabrics, so that you can make any project even better!

One of my favorite projects is featured in Simple Quilts & Sewing. This great magazine (book) is from the editors of QUILT and it is on news stands now. Be sure to get your 2011 copy before they are all gone. The magazine has a lot of great project ideas, complete with photos and instructions. My Travel Chalk Board design (The Write Stuff) is shown on pages 52-53. This is a great project to whip up in about 15 minutes, that will provide hours and hours of fun for kids. Especially great for kids on the go (think summer road trips, vacations, travel)!

These fabrics were inspired by our travel chalkboard design. We wanted to offer a supply kit for this fun project, so we had some original fabric designs created. These fabrics are part of our Tagalong Doodler Collection. Girl Doodles fabric shown. The fabric can be purchased in our shop now.

Darling Delaney is pampering herself pretty in her photo shoot for Tazetta.com. She is an awesome artist, as you can see, as well as a model. Delaney used her artistic skills to design her own personalized Spa Girl collection...pillow, nightshirt, bear, and more!

We will be adding our complete Spa Girl collection at Tazetta.com soon, which includes these designer kits, all of which are perfect for young artists, birthday parties, sleepovers, and more.

There are many kinds of fabrics (we will discuss those in a future "Sewing 101" post). Patterns/instructions for projects on our site give fabric recommendations so that you can better choose a suitable fabric for that specific project. Whether it be searching through your stash of fabrics or picking out the perfect fabric at the fabric store, fabric is a fun part of the creative process.

Fabric is sold by the yard (smaller amounts, too). You may even use remnants for smaller projects. Most cotton fabrics should be washed before beginning your project and will also need to be pressed.

The sample shows bright spring/summer florals, but this purse would look great for fall with a mix of corduroys, denims, suede cloth, etc.
